Ynys Llanddwyn

This weekend I went to Ynys Llanddwyn, the main reason for the trip ia that on 25th January is St Dwynden’s Day, which is the Welsh Valentines Day.

Although it was January, the sun was shining and there were no clouds in the sky.  I still had to wrap up but the sea air was refreshing.

Heading from the car park and headed towards the ruins or St Dwynden’s Church.  The Church dates back to the 5th Century.

The views from the island are beautiful and on a clear sunny day you never want to leave.

I would recommend visiting this beach, but in the summer dogs aren’t allowed on the part of the beach to get to the island so if you have a dog I would check the dates.

Please follow me on Instagram to see the various places I visit and I will write another post on a place I have just visited or look back in the archives and revisit a place.

Welcome to my blog

Hello,

Thank you for visiting my blog.  I have to admit I am not a blogger, but I do like to travel, explore, find new favourite places.  While I am doing this I take many photos.

So this blog is a place for my to share the places I visit, new and old.  Mainly they are going to be in Wales, but I do venture further a field on some occasions.  Please stay tuned for the weekly photo post.
